The Process of Melting Aluminum for Recycling

We can take this melted aluminum and use it to create new things such as car parts, drink cans, etc. Melting aluminum is actually a very simple-process and can be boiled down to just 3 steps. After which we clean cans to remove any dirt or remaining soda. Then, we flatten out the cans and put them in to smaller bits this ensures that it is easier to melt down. Then we place these small pieces into a special furnace and bring them up to proper sintering temperature. During this melting process the aluminum reaches a liquid state and we are able to skim away oil, paint or plastic left behind only leaving pure melted aluminum. Lastly the pure melted aluminum is poured into molds for making more useful items.
